Corroded batteries

Hi. I have an NXT that had AA batteries (alkaline, I think) in it for a long time and they leaked battery acid. :( I took the batteries out when I became aware of the problem, and have cleaned off the terminals, and popped the cover off the NXT to have a look at it. I'm hoping the unit is fine -- I ...

Released: Enchanting 0.2.3

Greetings, everyone. I'm pleased to announce the release of Enchanting v0.2.3 . Enchanting is a friendly, graphical programming environment for the NXT, based on Scratch (and BYOB and leJOS). It makes programming the NXT fun again! It is easy enough for a beginner, and has enough depth to be of use ...

Re: [enchanting] Problems to start Echanting on W7

Hi Thomas.

I'm glad to hear you've gotten the problem resolved.

Thanks so much, Andy, for inviting him to post on the leJOS forum. I'll watch the Mindboards and leJOS fora for Enchanting questions (but I'm glad there are other helpful people out there answering questions!)

Cheers,

Re: Alternative graphical programming environment -- Enchanting

Dudmaster,

I asked one of my testers to try out your script and it works fine for him, too.
Do you get errors like this on all Enchanting scripts you try out?

Re: Alternative graphical programming environment -- Enchanting

Hmm... It appears my luck is different. I ran the program as-is for five minutes and always got "Try Again!". I finally removed the wait loop and shortened the time the try again note plays, and pretty quickly got "Wow!" answers, too. Did the error message come up right away for ...

Re: Alternative graphical programming environment -- Enchanting

Hmm.... Can you e-mail me your file or export an image of your code and attach it here?

You are using LeJOS v0.85, are you not?

Re: Alternative graphical programming environment -- Enchanting

Hmm... Most likely that means there are several other people wondering if the USB cable always needs to be attached.

I suppose I'll have to make that more clear in future videos.

Re: Alternative graphical programming environment -- Enchanting

Currently you always need the cable attached to upload the program with the green flag button. (Advanced users can export the code, and manually compile and upload it over bluetooth using the leJOS tools). Once it is uploaded, you can remove the cable and run the program named "Enchanting.java&...
