Re: Stuck in slave mode
I'm trying to use my phone as a controller for the HTway balancing robot. I want to use the HTway-BT program from Hitechnic but instead of using another NXT brick as a controller, I want to use the Android program I wrote. I don't think it is possible to write to the mailboxes when connected via cha...

Re: Stuck in slave mode
That is what I'm trying. I keep getting the "busy" message.

Stuck in slave mode
My NXT seems to be stuck in slave mode. I can connect to it with my phone or my computer on channel 0, channel 1,2 and 3 just give me the "line is busy" error. I've tried deleting all pairings on all devices and then repairing with no success. It still only connects to channel 0. Channel 0...

Re: Autonomous Camera Trigger A.C.T.
Thanks for the screen tool suggestion. I played around with NeXT Tools program a while back but I forgot all about it. Now I can see if I can get my htway to work. I'll give Lego a call tomorrow. Thanks,
Thomas

Re: Autonomous Camera Trigger A.C.T.
I've been trying different camera settings. Some with flash (usually blown out), mostly without. Manual focus and a higher iso so I can maximize dof with a higher shutter speed. Right now everthing is on hold until I get a new NXT brick. The screen went out again (I "fixed it" once before)...

Autonomous Camera Trigger A.C.T.
My version of Floydblokes's camera trigger. (Thanks again for the help) 4066 quad bilateral switch, Hitechnics prototype board, ultrasonic sensor and of course the NXT brick. Results have been less than stellar.

Re: Pros and cons of the different prototype boards?
What I'm trying to do is just trigger a camera shutter. I didn't mention that because I didn't want to base my decision on one specific task. I have very little electronics background which is pushing me toward the experimenters kit, although someone said in another thread that they didn't really le...

Pros and cons of the different prototype boards?
I'm looking at the 2 boards from Mindsensors and the one from Hytechnic. I'm leaning towards the Hytechnic board mostly because it plugs into a breadboard. Any input would be much appreciated.

Re: Remote Camera Trigger
Very cool! I'm trying something similar except I'm using the ultrasonic sensor and I'm trying to capture hummingbirds. Would an electronics noob be able to figure out how to hook up the 4066 to one of the prototype boards(Hitechnic or Mindsensor)? Right now I have one of the servo motors pushing the...
