I had new batteries, I had just bought them to download the firmware. I'm using RobotC 2.02(7.97) free trial.

Thanks h-g-t I did what you said and it worked my nxt was working, but yesterday when I turned my nxt on it started making that clicking sound I downloaded the firmware again it worked. and then again today when i turned it on there was that clicking sound again. whats wrong with my NXT. please help...
