Thanks for your replies, but my son did not have the patience to wait until we can resolve the issue. He is building the Spike robot right now.
I will try to persuade him to have another go with Tilted Twister but I think it will be already next year

The calibration process also fails. The sensor position is always wrong. The color test is OK.

Hello, My son tried to build the Tilted Twister Robot from his 8527 Set (http://tiltedtwister.com/ttdownload.html), but it does not work properly. We have tried to resolve the issue but without success. The arm that holds the light sensor of the NXT does not turn enough to get above the Rubik's Cube...
