Back again.
It has been some time since I have wrote on a LEGO forum. Been very busy and life at times takes up time, new hoobies etc. Perhaps burn out was a factor as well. But I have been lurking about. My biped is still here too. Though it has went through some major changes and I hope to film it this year w...

Re: New project, HELP needed
When you have figured out about what you need in parts, your best source is going to be http://www.bricklink.com/index.asp . Bricklink has about every part ever made, though it may not be one stop shopping since it is a collective of shops. If you are paying for all of this project then yes it won't...

Re: Hey Lego: my recommendation for the next NXT
Much of what was not easy to do ; adding motor ports and sensor ports is a thing of the past now. One brick can with third party items add as many motors as one could need and enough sensors as well. Many new third parts things seem to come out all the time too. They are rather inexpensive and modul...

Re: Need help with my latest MOC
LOL In my life that is last thing I would worry about, a wee bit of silicon at this point might just get the old body moving a bit faster. As for a filter I wonder if it would remove silicon oil? I jest anyway. One issue about the lego switches at least with air: when they pass center they release t...

Re: Need help with my latest MOC
The video is very funny to watch. I think they had to much fun or was it dispencing beer? That may be in the end a better fluid to use as well since it has less chance of going rancid. Milk goes bad very fast at room temps, and the smell.......

Re: Need help with my latest MOC
Just a thought here but you do know that these pneumatic switches come with a lubricant inside that well, I would think is not for human consunption. Silicon ized chocolate milk yum yum. even the tubbing if not designed for human consupton can be hazardous. other isuues will be left over milk in the...

Re: Bipedal bot (TONS of questions)
Couple things to point out "Micro" servos in the Rc world have very little power. When an R/c thing needs big rc sevo power they use much MUCH bigger servos even up to 1/4 scale. In my research a long time ago about this very thought. should i use the 8 channel servo or the Mmux. It came d...

Re: Bipedal bot (TONS of questions)
Getting it to stand after a fall will be hardest part by far. The legs in alfa rex wont bend enough. The hips as well as ankles would need to be in the loop(able to bend at each point) as well i think. So any "shuffel" stepping would be ok to walk, turn. but to right its self will need alo...

Re: Removing battery compartment/Charger?
well those 4 screws hold the case shell, its 2 piece. So you can not remove it without leaving it open. I would do as sugjested in a power out that could run it or run other thing off it. I have done tha later with my project and it runs great 1nxt with 6 batteries runs, the nxt, 4 Mmuxs fine with 1...
