NXT 2 problem

Hello
I tried to conect the NXT controler to my computer.
The driver was correct and it was recognized by the PC
The software told me I need a new firmware, while I started the preperations for the firmware instalation, the controler, stop functioning. I don't see anything on its screen and I only hear tickings.
I do here the USB sound any time I plug or unplug it from the PC. But if I try to re install, the PC doesn't recognize it and so do the software.
I tried to reset it with no success
ANy one can help me what should I do?

The ticking means it's in firmware upload mode. Just try to load the firmware again. If that doesn't work, then I would suggest looking at this.
