BCC preferences questions

Post by HaWe »

hi,
1) what means beyond "preferences- General": [ ] use MDI mode?

2) I have disabled the explorer window to have more place for the editor window , but now there is still space reserved for the old explorer window. How can I delete this windows space automatically? (I want to have the editor window automatically always at the outmost left border of the BCC window at program start)

MDI mode:

non-MDI mode:

If you turn off the Code Explorer and press F9 to show the Templates window the blank grey space will go away. If you switch the MDI mode setting on or off you have to restart the IDE before the change will take effect.

thank you,
but how can I make the explorer window keep away right from the start and provide the whole space completely for the text editor (I never use the explorer window but I always need the whole space)

As of yesterday I think I have fixed the behavior you are seeing where it leaves a blank spot where the code explorer and templates window might otherwise be docked. But in my testing, I was able to get the blank space to go away by simply pressing F9 twice. You might try that as a work around until I release a fix.
