Here' the Cure for Clicking Brick Syndrome (CBS)There's just a few simple steps :D
Just make sure you plug in you NXT with the USB cable.

1.Set the NXT in SAMBA mode by holding down the RESET button (Located in the back hole) for 5 seconds.

2. Open your NXT-G or NeXT-Tools.

3. If you're using NXT-G click the Tools button (On the top left corner of you computer screen) and select download firmware. With Next-Tools open download Firmware.

4.Select the firmware you want to download.

5. Wait for installation.

Ta-da Clicking Brick Syndrome cured. :D

Thanks for posting this. As a minor caveat I would mention that clicking brick syndrome (CBS) is not the same as SAMBA or firmware download mode. CBS refers to a brick that doesn't easily come out of SAMBA or firmware download mode. There was a version of the Fantom drivers which in combination with the first releases of the LEGO MINDSTORMS NXT software did not work correctly when a brick was in SAMBA mode. This led to the diagnosis of the clicking brick syndrome where once your brick started clicking it was virtually impossible to get it out of that state. Updates to the software and/or Fantom drivers fixed that sort-lived problem.

It's kind of like the difference between someone who washes their hands when they are dirty and someone with OCD who does it constantly. One is normal the other is a disorder or syndrome.

Seriously, I removed the last two posts with the bumps in it. Don't do it again. I will remove the last two posts.

What exactly is the reason you feel the need to keep bumping this thread? Don't answer on this thread, PM me. This thread is now locked.
