Rotation Sensor, Marker Pulse?

Post by cpapple123 »

Does the motor feed Back have a marker pulse? Something I can use to home to switch then to Marker?

You mean a way to determine absolute position? I'm afraid not. Positions are always relative to when you start up the firmware. If you need absolute positions that persist through power cycles, you're going to want to take a look at the HiTechnic Angle Sensor or the Mindsensors GlideWheel AS.

Or use a homing sensor (e.g. a touch sensor that gets activated when the motor's contraption is all the way to one extreme), and reset (or offset) the tacho count when activated.

Thank You, Matt I have done just that with another project some time ago but thought I could add another layer of accuracy and repeat-ability by then indexing to Marker Pulse after the switch is made/released. Maybe I'm just being to picky, never going to get pass the backlash of the LEGO
