I have not heard anything from the non-NXC programmers though, so is it really a problem or a solution looking for a problem?

Maybe it isn't necessary, but I think it could help. Especially if it was a tag system, and you could sort it if you wanted to. Using tags (if possible) you as an admin wouldn't need to move out-of-place topics. They would all be in the same forum, but it could be sorted by tags to only show certain topics.
I personally don't really care if another forum or tag system gets implemented, as I read almost everything anyways. The only advantage i can see for myself, is being better able to find specific topics when I search.
The tag system sounds great, how would it work with the sorting though? I am not sure you can do that or can you? I guess you could search for all posts with [NXC] in their subject.

Hey! Just a minute there. I still use NXT-G . Really, it's not that big of a deal for me. I'd prefer to have a separate board for NXC, but that won't make a difference if you check for new posts using the new posts page. If you think it'd be too much work, don't worry about it.
One King to rule them all, One King to find them,
One King to bring them all and in the darkness bind them
On Earth where Shadows lie.
I can't modify how the board works since it's hosted. What we got is what we have. The upside of it is that I never have to fix anything since that's done for me

Is there some place where we can notify these hosts of ours? They really should pay more attention to their guests, but I suppose that's not possible with about 1k of 'em. ...Even if there are 0.1k of hosts.

Probably not as many Even if 1 in a 1000 chose to have a forum, that's still, umm, a lot!
