Yaw Rate Sensor

Post by ozzie88 »

Hi everyone,

I'd like to use the NXT for a new school project. I need to measure yaw rate to control the system.

Does anyone know if there is a yaw rate sensor available for the NXT, or how to measure using standard sensor hardware?

I appreciate your responses!

This should do the job for you: https://www.hitechnic.com/cgi-bin/comme ... ey=NGY1044

You can also order it (or something very similar) directly from lego.

Does anyone know if the Lego and the Hitechnic gyros are the same?

Yes they are. HT is the creator, LEGO is just another seller.

Hi,

I write some blogs about this sensor and how to use it. The most popular is this one about offset and drift. You might find it useful.
