Do these rules still apply? I have seen some signatures that do not exactly follow these rules. (Big fonts, extra lines, etc) (no offence intended to the owners of these signatures.)Mindboards wrote:Some simple rules:
Signatures cannot have links in them.
Signatures may not exceed 4 lines or have anything other than normal sized fonts in them.

Re: Question about signatures
Hi there,
If you look carefully, doc-helmut's signature, excluding the "regards, helmut" is 4 lines. As for Muntoo's, well, it's not such an eye sore that I deem it inappropriate. The rules about the images in the signatures were put there to prevent people from adding 500x50 GIFs to their signature followed by more text, like it used to be the case on NXTasy.
Don't worry, I have messaged plenty of folks whose signature I thought was a bit over the top but as long as they're kept within limits, I'm fine with it. The rules just give me the ability to ask people to change their signature if it gets out of hand.

Re: Question about signatures
If you want an extra long signature, can you use the Show/Hide button?

Apparently not.studbrickmaster wrote:If you want an extra long signature, can you use the Show/Hide button?
It's aesthetically pleasing.mightor wrote:As for Muntoo's, well, it's not such an eye sore that I deem it inappropriate.
Actually, I used JPGs (a long time ago) and then PNGs.mightor wrote:500x50 GIFs

Re: Question about signatures
No, I am not going to allow fold-out signatures and all that larkin'. At the moment there are no signatures that are sufficiently annoying as to require action on my part.
As for the aesthetic qualities of some signatures, well, let's just say there's no accounting for taste. As long as it doesn't offend people or annoy them, I'll tolerate them; we're not running a boot camp here.
