That's cool! But what exactly do you mean by "write to them?". Do you mean as in contact the administrator? Or as in click on some link and post some of your own code, and then an admin (i. e. Xander) will review it and accept these changes provided they're better?muntoo wrote:The search algorithm is maintained by phpBB. You can write to them. Then, once your feature request is status-complete, you can tell SourceForge to upgrade its forum software.

I do it every single time that I want a question answered, but I didn't know even what to google. So that's when you need a link instead.studbrickmaster wrote:You can search in Google, you know.

I actually don't see in which respect this "Google search"discussion leads us further ahead.
My example was:
search for "astar" in this forum.
Neither the forum search nor the Google search leads to any results.
So what?

Me and studbrickmaster were talking about google searching for the phpBB website, not for your "astar" topic.doc-helmut wrote:I actually don't see in which respect this "Google search"discussion leads us further ahead.

Well I would say that if you wanted to find the phpBB website with google, you would type 'phpBB' into google.haydenstudios wrote:I do it every single time that I want a question answered, but I didn't know even what to google. I believe you miss interperet my words. You see, I did not think to visit the phpBB website for information on doing what I questioned the possibility to do. And it was for that reason that I needed something more than just a google search.studbrickmaster wrote:Well I would say that if you wanted to find the phpBB website with google, you would type 'phpBB' into google.
