Bricxcc?
I've got a mac and I want to check out bricxcc but it doesn't seem to work...it doesn't even open. Does anyone know what might be wrong?

Re: Bricxcc?
BricxCC is a Windows program. That might be your problem.
Try nxtcc instead, it 's a version of BricxCC for *nix (Mac, Linux)

Re: Bricxcc?
If nxtcc does not load on your Mac then perhaps you do not have the required Fantom drivers installed? These can be download from the LEGO MINDSTORMS support pages on the LEGO website.

Re: Bricxcc?
I already have those, but I'll re-download just in case. I've been cleaning up/organizing my NXT files, and I may have accidentally deleted them somehow? I'll find out if re-downloading does the trick...

No luck. I got a crash report though... It looks like the first/main thread is failing.
Here's the first part of the crash report if it helps any:

Re: Bricxcc?
I have the same problem with NXT Tools. NXT Tools used to work just fine for me.

Re: Bricxcc?
Here's something really strange...both the most recent version, and the previous 2010 version of the nbc compiler are telling me that "task main ()" is an invalid command??

Re: Bricxcc?
Sounds like there is a problem with nxtcc and Lion - possibly in the FreePascal/Lazarus code or, perhaps, in the Fantom drivers.
It is always helpful to reveal as much as possible about your situation as you can when you are having trouble and seeking assistance. So "I have a mac" could be replaced by "I have an intel mac running OS X Lion" or whatever.
If you are running Lion then you might try booting your mac in 32-bit mode rather than 64-bit mode. Or choose the "open in 32 bit mode" (try googling this").
For now, I am sticking with Snow Leopard on my intel mac mini.
