OS X has built-in file compression capability (zip). If you right-click (or ctrl-click) on any icon in the Finder, one of the menu items you will see on the pop-up menu is "Compress <filename>", where <filename> is the name of file selected. Select that and you get a zipped version of your file or folder.

I know about the zip. folders I need to shrink the zip. folder itself.The zip. only has the program and that's it,but it's still to big

K, max size is now 5MB. Please try to zip the files regardless of this. It will save space and bandwidth.
