Re: NXC command FreeMemory()
I got a picture, but when I try to post it, it just keeps saying "The image file you tried to attach is invalid.".

Re: NXC command FreeMemory()
You currently cannot upload .png files. The best option right now is to save the image as a .jpg. That should upload fine.

Re: NXC command FreeMemory()
I discovered the new html help through this thread (btw, perhaps it would be wise to move this help discussion in another thread?)... Is it expected that the text search in the html help doesn't work? eg. I'd like to be able to search "ultrasonic" and get everything about the ultrasonic sensor...

That is very strange. Your best bet is to try the Command Prompt window instructions to reset the BricxCC registry that I posted above. If you click the Start button on your task bar in Win7 and type "cmd" into the search field (whatever it's called) then you should see the menu show Command Prompt or something similarly named. It lives under Accessories on XP.mattallen37 wrote:Ok, here it is.

I think I am doing something wrong with the hhk and hhc files created by doxygen. I was assuming that they were compiled into the .chm file and did not need to be delivered. I'll investigate.philoo wrote:I discovered the new html help through this thread (btw, perhaps it would be wise to move this help discussion in another thread?)... I will also split this thread and move the help-related portions to a new thread, if I can figure out how!

Re: NXC command FreeMemory()
Ok, I found the command prompt, but anytime I attempt to go to a new line to type, is shows "c\users\family" (or something like that), and then if I just type in front of that, it says something to the effect of "system not able to find". If it is just a file that needs to be changed, why don't you post your good one, and I will just replace mine with it?afanofosc wrote:That is very strange. Re: BricxCC HTML Help problems
Matt,
You can grab screenshots of what you are typing into the command prompt window. Can you post those? Use Alt+Print Screen and then paste into Paint and save as .jpg. BricxCC should be in c:\program files\bricxcc - unless you are running a 64 bit OS (forgot about that). In that case it will be in c:\program files(x86)\bricxcc.

Re: BricxCC HTML Help problems
it is a 64 bit system, so you're right. Here is a picture of what it looks like before I type ANYTHING.

Re: BricxCC HTML Help problems
So did you type in the commands that I suggested? You would need to use the (x86) version of the program files folder name. I can't send you a file to fix the problem since the only way the current version of BricxCC will use Win32 help is if the UseHTMLHelp registry setting is set to false (0). The 3.3.8.8 version of BricxCC sets this to true by default while earlier versions set it to false by default. Older versions show a "Use HTML help" checkbox on the Options tab of the Preferences dialog so that you could switch from Win32 to HTML if you wanted to do so. The 3.3.8.8 release of BricxCC hides this checkbox so it is necessary to delete your BricxCC registry key or merge in a .reg file that sets UseHTMLHelp to true (1). Running bricxcc /reset will delete the BricxCC registry key.
I've attached a small utility which simply deletes the BricxCC registry key when you click the button (if you have sufficient privileges to do so). This is something you can try if you can't use the /reset switch for some reason.
