I guess he just busy and doesn't have a lot of time for MINDSTORMS any more.
He is after all a full-time professor of physics. My last contact with him was Dec. 2010.. Think about it. The time between now and then is the school year. My guess is he'll be back as soon as he's done grading finals

Actually, his last post was April 30th, 2011[1]. Brian Davis is still quite involved in Mindstorms, but he does most of his interaction with the NXT community via consulting, mostly with students if I remember correctly.
