Welcome to MINDboards.

This area has been created to offer a place to discuss LEGO MINDSTORMS.

It is intended to support any type of software or hardware that can be used with LEGO and LEGO MINDSTORMS.

Let the discussion begin...

Cool. I'm guessing our discussion could start with what sorts of projects we've been doing lately. Currently, I keep doing them remotely (helping out folks around the world with different people contributing different things). I need to blog one of those soon.

So far I think I actually prefer the phpBB forum interface to the old IPB boards on nxtasy.org. I will need to fiddle with the redirect, I think, as it doesn't work well once you login and the forums switch to https. Sourceforge definitely has not fixed the png image attachment problem so for now people will have to use jpg instead. And until they fiddle with the google ads delivered in the top banner it will be less annoying to use Chrome or Safari rather than Internet Explorer - or use an ad blocker of some kind since IE pops up a warning about unsecure content on the page.

Thank you for picking up the ball on this, I am sure the NXT community will be very appreciative. FYI Login did not work in Firefox, but was OK in IE

So there have been issues with the "masked forward" option I enabled on godaddy.com for forums.mindboards.net. Basically if I set it to forward to http:// then attempts to login did not work properly. If I set it to forward to https:// then you couldn't get to the forums at all unless you login first, which screws up guest/readonly access. So I've changed it to just do a regular forward from forums.mindboards.net to http://sourceforge.net/apps/phpbb/mindboards/. This will show the "ugly" url in the browser address bar but it will make it so that you can see the forums in read only mode before you login and then when you login it will switch to https and let you post to the forums. It will probably take a few hours for the change from "masked forward" to just "forward" to become active. The only downside to this is what you see in the browser address bar.

Hooray! Nice to see a someone pick up on the nxtasy stuff. I used to go to nxtasy for all my software needs. Glad I followed the NXTStep blog to mindboards. Cool name too. As for any projects, I just got myself a NXTcam v3, wanna tinker with that a little. Joined an FTC team too, and I'm hoping any experience I've had with the Mindstoms stuff will come in handy.

Thanks for setting up Mindboards guys. Your the best. :)

Good to be part of an "old" new project. A continuation and a fresh start all in one.

I've had no trouble with Firefox and I'm very happy with the forum speed!
