after cleaning my hard drive (uninstalling several programs) suddenly my NXTs cannot be recognized by BCC any more.
I'm using Win XP SP3.
I tried it with 3 different bricks, and I tried different USB ports on my PC!
Choosing "automatic" search instead of USB doesn't make a difference (scanning, => "No connection to programmable brick")
Nevertheless, Windows recognizes the NXT correctly at any time by USB if switched on automatically ("ding-dong" sound when plugged, correctly initialized as an USB Lego device in the device manager)
So,
- I uninstalled BCC
- I cleaned the registry (BCC registry clean tool)
- I reinstalled latest BCC bricxcc_setup_3389.exe 5.0.3.32
- I updated to the latest beta/test release 2012-09-12
- I reinstalled the USB drivers
- I reinstalled the Phantom driver
but no way:
choosing NXT, usb => "No connection to programmable brick" both at BCC startup and via Tools -> Find brick
What may be wrong?

Now I additionally first uninstalled the Fantom driver, and then I re-installed it anew.
And now finally everything works fine again.
