[enchanting] Enchanting with windows 2000?

Has anyone succeeded in installing Enchanting under Windows 2000? We still run this system at my school.
It fails starting with an error message in relation to java, which seems to come along with the enchanting installation. Is there a way to make enchanting use the installed java system, I think that should help?
