Omni-wheel providers

Rotacasters seem to be popular omni-wheels, but they're prohibitively expensive for me (~$40 USD for a pair). Has anyone ever tried these? If so:
Do they work? (roll smoothly, fit lego axles with the hub, are fairly durable/reliable, etc.
or: Are there any other LEGO omni-wheel solutions?

I didn't try them. I like the Rotacasers a lot. It is a pitty they sell them by the pair though, you normally need three.

Aswin,

It's always good to have a spare, in case of a puncture :)
