Hi,
I've just bought the NXT 2.0 set, and have got my old LEGO technic control centre out of the attic. Does anyone know if I can connect the technic motors to the mindstorms box?
I've seen conversion cables (8528 I think) that will plug into the mindstorms box with a 2x2 brick at the end, which is similar to what the technic control centre used. Has anyone tried it out? And if so, do they work?
Thanks,
Stephen

Seems you have to use the legacy blocks :-

Never tried it myself because the only project I built needs NXT motors.

I have used them many times, also the PF motors. You will need the adaptor cables.(NXT to PF) another way to connect is the RCX Motor Multiplexer for NXT (MTRMX-Nx) http://www.mindsensors.com/index.php?mo ... PAGE_id=58
The advantage here is you still can connect 3 NXT motors and 4 RCX, 7 dof, this will also run PF(needed PF to RCX adapors)
The only motor that wont play well with these is the Race buggy motor just to many amps, that needs its own battery to run correctly.
