A "Snatcher" is supposed to grab things. It's motor is broken, so it couldn't "let go" ("lego"). I didn't get it at first either.

Some jokes are impossible to translate to German, I'm afraid. It's a play on words and only makes sense if you're fairly familiar with a language. In English LEGO is pronounced more like LEGGO, a short "e" sound, like the first "e" in Merkel. "LEGGO" is also how you'd say "let go" quickly. It's a word used in a rather famous (North American) ad for a make of waffles (Eggo waffles) by Kellog's; "Leggo my Eggo". More information here: [LINK]. You can see the ad here:

That is the setting image for the joke. Basically, Xander used that as a way that the robot couldn't let go. This was to form an image or setting for the joke itself.
