It would be nice if the was a place where whoever is on can chat with anyone else that is on instead of posting back and forth like i did with matt yesterday.

It would be fun to have a IRC chat room for MindBoards. I don't know much about setting up an IRC server, but I imagine that there are a few servers that wouldn't mind hosting us.

It's old school
I used to use it a lot back in 94. It predates the web

If I remember correctly, Xander met his wife in an IRC chat room
.
Xander, or anyone else, what are the chances of getting an IRC chat room going? I know it wouldn't be terribly useful, or necessary, but it'd be fun to try out. I think that
Freenode might work, but then again, I'm not sure about all the specifics.

I did indeed meet my wife on #ireland on the EFNet
Anyway, I have register #mindboards on the FreeNode network. You can get to it via an IRC client or your browser:
http://webchat.freenode.net/
When you're done logging in, go to the #mindboards channel by typing /join #mindboards
