Plans/Need for other languages also?

Post by mpscholz »

Are there plans for sub forums that cover discussions in other languages than english as well (German, for instance)?
Is there a need for it by the community?

What do you think?

I don't know if Mindboards should have different language sections or maybe links to different language communities on the front page, since there are already several interesting forums in different languages out there.

I tend to agree that there are other options for other languages.

Steve, linmix, true indeed.
There are other options for MINDSTORMS fora in other languages.
But I do not quite get the argument: there are also other options for english-speaking MINDSTORMS fora out there, aren't they? Yet, that this not prevent this forum to be set up in English.

Anyway, not that important, at least not for me.

First of all, thanks for the new forum :)

Smalltalk would be wonderful. I'm trying to use nxtalk without success :(

I think Smalltalk is the best tool to teach in a "clean" and easy way: object orientation, reflexion, domain specific languages (i think it will be very powerful to robot programming),...

Jose,

this very discussion is on natural languages and referred to the language the users of the forum are conferring with each other, not on programming languages.

Maybe this entry could be moved to a separate new and most worthwhile "NXT programming languages" thread (in the Software sub forum, most presumably)?
