NXTMMX extra information?

Post by ricardocrl »

Hi,

Does anyone know any source where to find more information about software implementation of the NXC API for the NXTMMX? Do we have access to the source code?

I'm thinking of changing a bit the PID parameters for speed control.

I would also like to get tachometer position values from both motors at the same time! Reducing the time spent on I2C commands. Has anyone ever tried or thing about this?

Ricardo,

Did you take a look at the Mindsensors website? They have an NXC driver there: [LINK].

Hi,

Thanks Xander. Yes, I actually understood that after a while. lol I didn't think of that "lib" as a source code file, but as a binary lib instead. Nevermind... :-)

It was helpful for some stuff!

But it doesn't give any information about how the control is done inside NXTMMX, like position and speed PID contorl. Maybe it's not needed. I will try to read the PID constants and see if I can improve the speed control. I doubt, because mindsensors must have worked hard on it. Probably the hardware can't simply deliver a nice result as the NXT does.
