Question about signatures

Post by aswin0 »

Hi Xander,

It thought url's are not allowed in sigs. Or do administrators have a different rule set?

Just kidding.

did you ever try to click on one of those "urls" in Xander's sigs? ;)

And yes, surely admins have ALWAYS a different rule set for themselves.

They are just text. You can put a URL in your sig but don't expect it to work. The admins don't have different rules. The only additional rights we have on these boards are the ones needed to modify/delete/move threads and posts.

If you have a blog and you put a url in there, that's fine with us. We disabled URL processing in the sigs so that people can't have images in there. It also makes spamming these boards a lot less interesting.

edit: moved the offtopic questions to a more suitable forum.

Well, actually, from what I have seen images are allowed, see my sig, but they have to be really small. Under 90x90 pixels.

Have a nice day,

For now we'll allow the small images in the signatures (an oversight on our part, it was our intention to disable that stuff completely). If we find they're being used by spammers we do reserve the right to disable them.

Also, they may not exceed more than 4 normal lines of text in size.
