Well, if you look back a page, and up a bit, you'll find some posts by Linusa that will cover the basics of WiiMote communication with the NXT. If I remember correctly from NXTasy, he is the expert around here when it comes to using your WiiMote with the NXT. You might also want to look at some of the videos on Mindsensors.com, they have a couple about the same topics. And yes, in a sense a BT enabled robot would be mobile, the only problem is that having to carry a laptop around can get a bit annoying. However, if your mostly working at home with the occasional demonstration at a school or science fair, it's not too bad. I can only get about 5m range out of BT, but that might have something to do with brick walls and a concrete ceiling...stryker001 wrote:I would love to have a WiiMote->PC->NXT connection, I would want to use the WiiMote because it is wireless. To connect it to an NXT you have to have (AFAIK) wires, so that kinda defeats the purpose for me. And, compared to a 'bot plugged into your computer, a 'bot on BT is mobile.
Oh, and welcome to LMR. You'll find the group of people there a bit more colorful at times, but they're almost as friendly as MiBo is. And, there is a lot of info on that site.
