Lego USB thumb drive
Lego USB thumb drive
I recently made a USB drive into a Lego USB drive . Thought I'd post some pictures here to inspire other to do the same. The drive I used is a 4GB HP v165w. I'm still figuring out my dremel, so it's a bit scratched here and there, and the bricks don't quite line up. I have pictures here.

Excellent job! I really ought to do that with my old Lexar Firefly, if I can fit it...

Thanks for all the positive comments, but it really actually doesn't look that good when you are holding it . I'm hoping to get a bit more practice with my dremel, then maybe I'll another few for friends.
I use a Lexar Firefly for music in the car, I like the nice blue glowing end. I imagine you could fit it in a 3x2 block with a 2x2 for a cap. Or, (great idea that just came to me now ) you could stick two 1x2 blocks top to bottom for the USB stick with a 1x2 for a cap. Not sure if that makes sense, I can draw it up if it doesn't.sidneys1 wrote:Excellent job! I really ought to do that with my old Lexar Firefly, if I can fit it...

Nice idea! I may try that sometime. Maybe I could use a transparent 1x2 block for the end so that the blue glow shows throughnxtreme wrote:I use a Lexar Firefly for music in the car, I like the nice blue glowing end. *EDIT: Or rather, a transparent 1x1 plate, since the studs would have to face the USB end for the cap to do its job.

Great idea! If you remove the USB sticks cover, the LED light might not be quite as diffused, but a dab of hot glue would solve that.sidneys1 wrote:Nice idea! I may try that sometime. Maybe I could use a transparent 1x2 block for the end so that the blue glow shows through
