Bricxcc and firmware test versions
Re: Bricxcc and firmware test versions
And what part of don't be a cnut escaped you?
A sophistical rhetorician, inebriated with the exuberance of his own verbosity, and gifted with an egotistical imagination that can at all times command an interminable and inconsistent series of arguments to malign an opponent and to glorify himself.
Re: Bricxcc and firmware test versions
The release notes would still be nice.

Only once been in John's shoes with software but I can say don't write the release notes until you have finished the product.
Right up to the last minute the code is changing.
Then you wonder why you bothered because no-one reads them anyway.

I do (...sometimes ...well, very little, but I do - once every 1000 release notes I come across).h-g-t wrote:Then you wonder why you bothered because no-one reads them anyway.

Re: Bricxcc and firmware test versions
I installed the new Bricxcc update on my windows 7 starter computer.
Whenever I try to compile an NXC program it reads "Compile/Download Failed. Compile failed.".
Even if I just compile this code then it still has the error!

Re: Bricxcc and firmware test versions
I think it is an issue with "File "NXCDefs.h" ; line 19272". It probably just needs a TINY bit of tweaking. I'll try a workaround for now, and if it works, I'll point you to it.nxtboyiii wrote:I installed the new Bricxcc update on my windows 7 starter computer.

I don't get compile errors so far (new fw 1.31-2011.03.14, Win XP)

Re: Bricxcc and firmware test versions
I guess I'll change the FW. However, I have it set to automatic FW version, so this shouldn't happen.

Re: Bricxcc and firmware test versions
Okay, you're right. It was the FW. However, I had the setting set to automatic, so it shouldn't have had the errors.
